  • Will you give meal plans and tell me what to eat?

Nope. I've never done meal plans, and probably never will. While EA40 has some structure, it is not written in a way that maps out every bite of food for you. I don't believe that that's helpful, and it certainly doesn't teach anyone how to self-manage their eating. If you're looking for a very structured program with meal plans, 'eat this, not that' lists and very specific weight loss goals and promises, this is not the program for you.

  • Will I lose weight?

EA40 does have a weight-loss slant that may result in weight loss for some people. Take this course not because your sole desire is to fit into your old jeans; take it because you want to walk up a hill without huffing and puffing; because you want to improve your overall health; because you want to set a good example for your kids; and because you want to do something good for yourself. My philosophy is that finding our comfortable weight is often the result when we stop obsessing about the number on the scale and focusing on the size we think we 'should' be. The positive behavioural changes you'll make with this course are designed to improve your health physically and emotionally.

  • What are your credentials/qualifications to teach this course?

Abby Langer has been an RD for 23 years. She is passionate about women's health, and about debunking health and nutrition misinformation and scams. Abby is the author of the bestselling book Good Food, Bad Diet, published by Simon and Schuster in 2021.

  • Will I have a chance to ask questions?

Yes! This course will have a weekly Zoom group counselling session for everyone enrolled. The EA40 private Facebook group is also a place to ask questions. Abby will be moderating the group, which is a safe place and supportive community to interact with those who are along for the ride.

  • How long do I have access to the course for?

You have lifetime access to this version of Eating After 40, and the Facebook support group.
